3 Year Single Barrel Rye Whiskey, Barrel No. 8

A distillery-only exclusive. Limited release of 120 bottles.

Our first single-barrel release. Identical in age and mash bill to our 3 Year Rye Whiskey, Batch No. 1, Barrel No. 8 takes a singular turn: it was fermented with Kveik, an ancient Scandinavian brewer's yeast. The result is a darker, more brooding expression of Silver Brothers rye — layered with plum, slate and an earthy rye finish.

Drawn from a single thirty-gallon barrel and bottled uncut at barrel strength, this is the purest expression of the whiskey as it rested in the cask. Barrel No. 8 carries a three-year age designation, as well as the Empire Rye seal on release. Each bottle is hand-labeled and numbered in sequence.
